Summary
Jot is a free, open-source macOS dictation app that uses the Gemini 3.5 Transcribe API to insert punctuated, filler-free text at the user's cursor after the fn key is held and released.
Audio writes to disk from the first millisecond, offline dictations queue, and all recordings are recoverable from a local History window. Voice data sends directly from the Mac to the Gemini API using the user's own key, with no intermediary server, account, or analytics.
