Strix Halo, based on AMD Ryzen AI Max+395, is an integrated AI platform featuring up to 128GB unified memory and a 40-core RDNA 3.5 GPU, targeting heavy generative AI tasks and large language models.
Its theoretical memory bandwidth and compute performance enable support for models up to 109 billion parameters, but practical performance remains lower than equivalent discrete GPUs, and ROCm software support is incomplete as of August 2025. The platform is positioned against Apple M4 and NVIDIA Blackwell solutions, offering distinct high memory capacity for AI inferencing, but with significantly lower memory bandwidth compared to high-end dGPUs.
